ABOUT LE XI!

Lexi Lee Dares is a singer, actor, and strong mover based in Orlando, Florida. Having recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Jacksonville University with her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, Lexi decided to return home to where she grew up (which also happens to be one of the entertainment capitols of the world!). She can currently be seen performing at the Orlando theme parks, including SeaWorld and Universal! Along with this, she is making her way around the Orlando theater circuit and having a BLAST! When she is not performing, Lexi can be found teaching voice lessons.

During her time at Jacksonville University, she was lucky enough to perform some of her favorite roles to date including Carla Albanese in Nine, Actress 1 in A…My Name will Always be Alice, and the featured soloist of Diastole: Songs for Inspiration in Turbulent Times, a virtual live stream cabaret during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her role in Diastole earned her an Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship Nomination and an invitation to the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, where she ended up a top 6 Finalist out of 100 entrees in their Musical Theater Intensive competition. She also had the priviledge to take voice lessons with Kimberly Beasley, whom Lexi considers her most influential teacher of all time. Between auditions, shows, and voice lessons, Lexi also was elected Student Director of the JU RiverTones, an auditioned all-female jazz choir. She served as Student Director from her Sophomore year (2021) through her graduation (2023).

Outside of the educational setting, Lexi has shown versatility onstage, in roles ranging from Heather Duke in Heathers to Delilah Strict in Zombie Prom. Other credits include Ariel Moore in Footloose, and Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical. She has also worked on the technical side of theater as a makeup designer for The Rocky Horror Show at Paul Bunyan Playhouse and Nine at Jacksonville University.

In her free time, Lexi enjoys playing with makeup, bingewatching true crime documentaries, and all things arts and crafts! She also loves spending time with her four cats: Saybe, Sebastian, Gus, and Gwen.
